Do you want quick & easy wholesome recipes that the whole family will love?
Navigating mealtimes can be tricky. As a dad and a dietitian, I want to ensure that the meals I create are tasty and nutritious. I believe I have struck the right cord in this book. My recipes deliver key nutrients and are bound to delight the senses. My 2-year-old daughter is my Chief Taste Tester and has approved each recipe, so I am confident your family will love them too.
I want these recipes to celebrate wholesome food and meals. We can sometimes get lost in the nutrition detail. But it’s worth remembering that we eat food, not nutrients. And food is so much more than a source of nutrition. It brings joy, evokes memories, fuels connection, fosters love, and is a fundamental element of our identity.
This recipe eBook contains 20 recipes featuring dairy, eggs, fish, whole grains, legumes, soy, plenty of fruit and vegetables, as well as nuts and seeds. But you won’t find any meat recipes in this book. That’s because I transitioned to a pescatarian diet more than three years ago.
I hope you love making my recipes as much as I enjoyed creating them.
Bon Appetit.
Andy De Santis [Andy The RD] –
Practical, palatable, pescatarian – if I had to choose three words to describe Joel’s latest cookbook that’s exactly where I’d start. He has done a remarkable job of utilizing very important but perhaps underappreciated foods like chickpeas, tofu and various types of fish to create snacks and meals that fulfil exactly what I’m looking to provide my clients as a fellow dietitian. Joel has all angles covered in this book from your first meal of the day to the last including some really wholesome dessert options, with each recipe characterized by a pragmatic elegance which speaks to the time and effort put forth both in the book and recipe design. I can confidently say that a resource like this would be invaluable to my clients and to anyone who is looking to expand their dietary horizons to trend towards a more Mediterranean style diet without sacrificing taste or requiring unreasonable amounts of time or effort.

Annette Richter –
What a terrific array of recipes. Healthy and easy to prepare , these recipes will definitely jazz up my weekly menus . I love fish, so I’ve already made the miso salmon and the tuna soba noodle recipes. Both were easy to prepare and jam packed full of flavour. I’m keen to now make my way through the rest of the book. Thanks Joel for adding some fabulous ideas to my repertoire. I love the fact that they are healthy and use every day ingredients.
