Joel was engaged by the Olive Wellness Institute (OWI) to create a number of assets and resources to engage and educate health and food professionals. Joel created a variety of educational resources in various formats for the target audience. These resources and marketing materials were used to showcase Australian olive products within Australia and key overseas markets.

Current research in nutrition science is showing that the adoption of the Mediterranean Diet can reduce depressive symptoms and enhance overall wellbeing in the long term.  Joel has written several evidence-based articles for the OWI blog exploring the mood-enhancing benefits of the Mediterranean Diet. He also developed a plant-based recipe featuring extra virgin olive oil to highlight the easy application of the Mediterranean Diet.

OWI is a science repository on the health and nutrition benefits of olives and olive products. The institute is led by scientific experts who specialise in olive products and their unique properties.
